An original painting is a one-of-a-kind piece of art that has been hand painted, using either acrylic or oil paint and will have a textured finish. A commission is a unique piece requested by an individual or business, with specifications and personalisations to fit a certain brief. Commissions are original works and can not be replicated or made into prints. A print is a reproduction of an original piece of art using a high resolution image printed onto smooth top quality paper.
Payments
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Paypal / Square for online orders and bank transfers for commissions.
Are deposits refundable? (Applicable to commissions only)
No, all deposits are non refundable after 24 hours. If a painting has not been started, then you may be refunded part of the deposit but this is at the discretion of the artist.
Commissions
A 20% deposit is required to secure a commission. The remaining 80% will be due upon completion, prior to delivery.
By paying the deposit based on an agreed price between the artist and client, the client is confirming that they have read and understand Emma Kenny Creative's Terms and Conditions.
Acrylic portrait commissions are painted to a semi-realistic style unless stated otherwise and the client will have one round of changes to suggest during the process. An update will be provided towards the end of the painting process, unless otherwise agreed.
The artist will aim to achieve likeness based on the image provided and the detail within the reference photo. Hyper-realism is not offered/possible. Photo-composing* is also not possible, unless otherwise agreed. *If multiple images are provided to be merged or the artist is asked to create a design, additional fees will apply for the digital mock-up/design. Please note that photo-composing comes with limitations of realism and may not align fully with the clients idea, but the artist will endeavour to bring the idea/image to life to the best of her ability.
When the artist has completed the painting, a clear image of the artwork will be sent to the client for approval. If changes have already been made under the client's demand, but further changes are requested, then additional fees may apply at an hourly rate of £40.
Postage/Packaging
Postage & packaging fees will be agreed before shipping, based on the size off the parcel and address of recipient. International parcels will be sent via Parcelforce, with a compensation value up to £200 - unless requested otherwise. The artist is not responsible for mis-deliveries, missing deliveries or damaged parcels.

- Can I cancel my order?
Under the consumer protection you have the right to cancel your order. In order to cancel an order you must first email with your cancellation request at info@emmakennycreative.co.uk Once this has been processed, you will then receive an email confirming your cancellation.
- Can I amend my order after it has been placed?
We try our hardest to process and dispatch orders as quickly as possible, however if you decide you want to amend your order, please email us at info@emmakennycreative.col.uk and we will try our best to resolve your desired amendment.
- Where is my order confirmation?
Once you have placed your order, you should receive an email confirmation to the email address provided to us when placing your order.
- Can I track the status of my order?
Once you place an order, we will then email you to inform you when your order has been dispatched, with an expected delivery date.
Under the consumer protection you have the right to cancel your order, until the point in which it is shipped. In order to cancel your order you must first inform us by sending an email to info@emmakennycreative.co.uk Please note that this must be within 48 hours of your purchase. Once this has been noted, you will then receive an email confirming your cancellation. You will then be refunded the full amount including shipping charges, minus a £1 administration fee.

- Can I cancel my order?
If you wish to cancel your commission after completion (pre-delivery) then you will not receive a refund unless the item is damaged. If the commission is not complete, you have the right to cancel your order but will be due to pay 50% of the remaining balance. - Can I amend my order after it has been placed?
Changes will be allowed depending on the magnitude and may incur additional costs. A brief will be required at the start of the commission process and will be confirmed before starting the painting. If the brief is asked to change throughout the process by the client then the artist has the right to refuse or request additional fees to cover labour time.
Refunds
Unfortunately we are unable to process any refunds unless the item is defected or damaged. In this case please email info@emmakennycreative.co.uk within 14 days or purchase.
Complaints
If you have any queries or problems regarding your product you should email us at info@emmakennycreative.co.uk and inform us about the problem.
Deliveries
Our commission pricelist is based on UK deliveries only. International shipping will incur additional costs.
Originals can take up to two weeks to be delivered. Framed deliveries will be an additional 2 weeks unless stated otherwise. Express delivery services are possible will be incur additional costs.
We may request to see images of any faults you may have.
