As I navigate my way through the techniques of oil painting, I'm taking a contemporary approach to classic 'still life' painting. These works will depict inanimate subjects, specifically ones I love. These 'still love' oil pieces will give me the focus I need without intruding on my esteem in the way that jumping straight into portraiture might do.
